Yvon van der Weide is a sculptor who works mostly in stone and wood. She creates also work in other materials, such as bronze, epoxy and chrome.
Her art is defined as: abstracted, fluent and monumental. She went to ‘The Sculptor School’ in Amsterdam. Yvon joined different exhibitions and works also on assignment.
During COVID her art took another direction; to maintain positivity and strength in these confusing times, she is making a series of sculptures dedicated to the theme: Resilience.
